Apple may let you use ChatGPT from CarPlaySo, it’s been over a week since Apple released its latest iOS 26.2.1.And of course, in this video, as always, I want to come back and share my experience and thoughts with you guys about this latest update.
.
Now, I also want to talk about some of the latest reports and issues with this latest release. And I also want to talk about our YouTube Community Poll
where you guys also give some feedback on how the software is working. Now, iOS 26.2.1 was released again a week ago. Apple released this software update to add support for the second generation of AirTags.
and bug fixes. Now, Apple didn’t make it clear what bugs they want to fix with this software update.
But let’s go ahead and get to it. Now, according to 9to5 Mac, various users on Reddit and Apple forums are reporting several issues with iOS26.2.1.
And here’s the full list. So, Apple Maps is losing saved locations and favorites after updating to iOS26.2. 2.1. We’ve also heard about the
Face ID authentication gap in third-party apps. So, if you try to log in with Face ID on a third-party app,
It may not work. We’ve also heard that Control Center and HomeKit toggles aren’t responding as expected. Now, there’s erratic storage reporting.
and also sudden increases or decreases in storage reporting. And last but not least, we’ve heard of several cases of apps crashing and iPhones randomly rebooting.
So, you might recall that before iOS 26.2.1 was released, many users were reporting FaceID issues. And it seems that after updating to iOS 26.2.1
This continues to happen for some users. Now, one thing I always recommend for those of you who are new to the channel is to go to Face ID and Passcodes in your phone settings.
And then make sure you have an alternate look set up. Make sure you do this on your device. This will collect more data points for FaceID.
Hopefully, this can resolve some issues for users who keep reporting Face ID Authentication discrepancies within third-party apps.
Now, there are also reports of lag and issues in Control Center and some toggles within HomeKit and Control Center not responding as intended. Now, I haven’t experienced this issue myself,
But if you are experiencing this issue, sometimes a hard reboot can resolve the issue for you. So, to hard reboot your device,
Press the volume up button once, press the volume down button once, and then go ahead and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
Again, press the volume up button, press the volume down button, and release it. And keep pressing the side button until you see the Apple logo on your device.
Likewise, once you see the Apple logo, hopefully, this will fix some issues with toggles not responding and, of course, some lagging issues within iOS 26.2.1.
Now, if you are one of the users who are experiencing unusual storage reporting, sudden spikes or drops in your iPhone’s storage,
Then this hard reboot may also fix this issue after updating. Of course, you want to make sure that you do a hard restart.
like it just showed you. And you can check your iPhone storage. Make sure that everything looks normal on your iPhone.
Now, for those of you who are experiencing issues with third-party applications crashing, I always say that after updating your iOS device, make sure to.
That you go to the App Store, go straight to your account in your App Store, and then go ahead and refresh. You may have some updates waiting for you.
As you can see there, you can update all your applications. Make sure everything is up to date; that way, you can avoid these crashes and issues with your third-party applications.
So, now I want to turn my attention to my YouTube community poll. This is where you guys also give feedback on
How is the software working for you? And I was asking, how is iOS 26.2.1 working for you so far? We got almost 2,000 votes.
50% of you are saying you have a great experience. 34% of you are saying it's okay, but I'm still having some issues.
8% say you're having a terrible experience. And 8% are not running iOS26. Now, one of the most popular comments on this latest YouTube community poll refers to standby issues.
How does the battery drain during standby? And I have to say, I tried this on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, and it seems like the battery life seems to be decreasing a little faster than expected.
When on standby on iOS 26.2.1. I tested it over several nights, and it seems to be the same. I’m not sure if there’s background activity happening with this latest software update,
But yeah, it seems like standby when your iPhone has been sitting on a desk all night doing nothing, it seems to be slowing down a little bit.
Let me know if you’re experiencing this issue on your device. Now, overall, iOS 26.2.1 is still a pretty solid update. I am not experiencing all of these issues,
These are isolated issues and bugs that some users are experiencing. This is not a widespread issue for many users, but let me know in the comments below how the software is working for you. Thank you for watching. I hope you have a great day, and I will see you the next day. Peace.
How to Watch YouTube in ANY Car (2026 Updated) Apple CarPlay NO JAILBREAK
How to Watch YouTube in Any Car (Updated 2026) Apple CarPlay NO JAILBREAK. Hey everyone. In today's video, I'm going to show you.
I was able to stream YouTube and any other app to my car screen using an app called StreamDash. As you can see,
I already have it set up on my phone, and trust me, it works great. With this app, you can easily stream YouTube via CarPlay.
Or Android Auto, and it's a lot easier than you think. All you need to do is download the app, connect it to your car,
And you're good to go. Whether you want to listen to music, podcasts, or even watch YouTube videos while you're parked, this app makes it super easy.
Just a quick reminder, please don't use this while driving. Make sure you stay safe and only use it.
When the car is not running. So, if you’re wondering how to get StreamDash on your device, stick around, and I’ll walk you through everything step by step.
Okay, let’s jump into the tutorial. First, open your browser. I’m using Safari, but you can use Chrome or whatever you want.
And go to streamd.app. You can type it directly into the address bar or just search for it on Google. Once you’re on the site, you’ll see a description of the app and how it works.
To download it, simply tap on the download button. That’s when the download process will begin. Now, if this is your first time using the site,
You might be directed to a quick setup page with a few easy steps. Don’t worry, they’re all clearly explained, and there’s even a video guide if you need some extra help.
Once you complete these steps, an installation pop-up should appear, and then the app will be installed directly on your phone.
And that's it. Very easy. I hope Stream Dash works the same for you.
