Samsung’s first Galaxy S26 teaser is for the ‘Privacy Display.’
Samsung's first Galaxy S26 teaser is for a 'privacy display'. Okay. Here's the picture. You're on your phone in public, maybe replying to a message,
checking your bank app, or typing in a password, and you suddenly get this feeling. It's that weird feeling that someone right next to you is reading your screen.
We've been there, and Samsung clearly knows it because they're teasing something for the Galaxy S26 that's meant to completely shut it down.
Samsung has just released a set of teaser videos that hint at a brand-new display feature focused on privacy. The basic idea is simple, yet clever.
Your screen looks perfectly normal when you look at it straight on, but the moment someone tries to peek from the side, the content completely disappears.
No weird screen tilt. It's not trying to block your phone with your shoulder. It just handles it. It's basically the same problem.
That privacy screen protectors try to solve, but instead of sticking an extra layer of plastic over your display and ruining the brightness and viewing angles, Samsung is building it right into the screen.
According to the teasers, this Privacy Display, which is the name Samsung is using internally, adds a whole new layer of protection against what it's simply calling shoulder surfing.
Interestingly, it doesn't seem to be an all-or-nothing feature. Samsung is hinting that you'll be able to choose exactly what gets protected.
So it's possible to just hide the app or just make sure it's not visible. You're doing sensitive things like typing in a password or PIN.
This is a big deal because it means you’re not sacrificing usability just to stay private. In the teaser clips,
you can practically see the effect. Look at the phone from the side, and the content disappears while everything looks perfectly fine to the person using it.
If it works as smoothly as Samsung says, this could be one of those features you don’t need until you use it once
and never want to go back. There’s a catch, though. Right now, all the rumors point to it only coming to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
So, if you’re looking at the standard S26 or Plus model, this could be one of those Ultra-only flex features. And honestly, it wouldn’t be surprising
given how Samsung usually develops its most experimental technology. As for timing, the Galaxy S26 lineup is expected to arrive by the end of February.
So, we probably won’t have to wait long to see how it performs in the real world. Now, I’m really curious what you think. Is
this a genuinely useful feature or just another flashy gimmick that looks cooler than it really is? Let me know your thoughts below. And as always, thanks for watching. I’ll catch you in the next one.
Galaxy S26 Ultra Privacy Display Feature First Look. So, this is your first look at the privacy screen feature coming to the Galaxy S26 series. As mentioned in the previous video,
Samsung is working on a feature similar to a privacy screen protector, but this time, you don’t actually need a privacy screen protector. The feature will be built directly into 1 UI8.5.
This leaked 1 UI demo shows how to enable this feature that restricts the view from different angles. This will really come in handy for those.
who travel a lot on the metro or other public transport systems, where privacy is a priority, while using the device in public.
According to this demo, 1 UI 8.5 will have a dedicated toggle in the Quick Settings panel from where you can easily enable or disable this feature.
Other Galaxy AI features that were leaked include a Calling Assistant feature, where the Call Assistant screen calls you. Callers will be asked for their name and the reason for their call before the call is connected.
This is a bit different from the Text Call feature that is currently available on the Galaxy S25 series. On top of that, Samsung is adding a Creative Studio feature where you can add images or text prompts.
and turn them into custom stickers. Samsung has also taken the S Pen a step further, and now it has an asymmetrical arc-shaped design.
But thankfully, the S Pen is still present on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Similarly, the color options for the Galaxy S26 series have also been leaked. There will be Black Shadow, White Shadow, Galaxy, and Ultra Violet color options.
Note that there is no mention of Titanium in the color names. So, this could mean that, like Apple, Samsung could also say goodbye to titanium on its next Galaxy phones.
When it comes to pricing, it is expected to remain the same as last year despite the ongoing RAM reduction. The Galaxy S26 will start at $799.
The Galaxy S26 Plus will start at $999, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra will start at $1,299. So, that’s the latest information we have so far on the upcoming Galaxy S26 series.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments section, and I’ll catch you up on the next one.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra First Look | Privacy Display S Pen Confirmed
Samsung seems set to take on shoulder surfers head-on. Instead of relying on third-party screen protectors or
large add-ons, Samsung seems to be building privacy protection directly into the phone’s hardware and software, with new leaks pointing to a Privacy Display feature coming to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. A recent leak from 1 UI 8.5 shared
by an Ultron X offers the first clear preview of how the feature will work. It’s essentially a system-wide setting.
designed to keep private content out of the sight of anyone nearby. Based on the leaked screenshots, users will be able to control the strength of the effect and decide.
when it activates. Samsung is developing automatic triggers that can recognize crowded environments like buses, trains, or cafes and automatically reduce the side view of the screen.
These settings also include a custom conditions menu, which allows you to create your own rules. For example, you can set Privacy to automatically turn on when opening banking apps or entering a PIN on the lock screen.
The leaks further suggest that Privacy Display will let users choose which parts of the screen are visible while dimming or obscuring others. Notifications, pop-up windows, lock screen fields, and images can all be hidden with an additional maximum privacy mode that makes the display even harder to read from a side angle.
The system relies on FlexMagic Pixel technology, which is likely enhanced by AI, to adjust pixels in real time and prevent unwanted viewing. And now, Ice Universe has shared a post on Xconfirming that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature an S Pen with fresh and stylish new functionality. Just like the S24 Ultra, it will support all Bluetooth features as well as a few new capabilities.
that have yet to be revealed. Several leaks have also emerged suggesting that this is no problem. The S Pen chamber can be clearly seen in one of the leaked renders.
which reassures fans that next year’s flagship will indeed retain the S Pen. In another post, ICE shared that Samsung plans to immediately restart the Galaxy S26 Plus project, as the S25 edge is selling less than expected.
Samsung has decided to revive the S26Plus model due to the bleak future of the iPhone Air. Ice Universe added his commentary, calling it ridiculous.
According to him, Samsung has become a speculator without any free will, following Apple’s lead. As a result, he says the company has been caught in Apple’s trap.
and forced to rethink its plans. It’s ridiculous, he concludes. What are your thoughts on this? Let me know in the comments section.
Finally, here we have our first official look at the GalaxyS26 Ultra. Samsung is gearing up to launch its next ultra smartphone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
And now we have our first look at it via leaked CADrenders. These images shared by Android Headlines give us a clear idea of the phone’s design and what we can expect.
. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will be the most powerful and premium model in the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. The new renders showcase the device from every angle,
And since CAD renders are usually very close to the final product, they provide a reliable preview. There’s also a 360° video that offers a full view of the phone.
While Samsung hasn't made any dramatic changes to the design, there are some notable updates. In these renders, the device features a flat display with a small, centered punch-hole for the front camera. The bezels are extremely thin and uniform,
which gives the phone a modern and refined look. The frame and back are mostly flat with slightly curved edges, making it more comfortable to hold.
On the back, the Galaxy S26 Ultra has four cameras, three of which are arranged in a vertically-standing camera island that sticks out 4.5mm.
while the fourth camera is built directly into the rear panel. An LED flash and additional sensors are placed above the fourth camera. The right side of the device features the power and volume buttons, while the bottom has a USB Type-C port.
