Venezuela ‘completely surrounded’ as Trump orders blockade over ‘stolen’ US assets.
Venezuela will only get worse, and the Venezuelan government has been designated a foreign terrorist organization on all wires coming from the Trump administration and the president’s office.
Some of these drug boat takeouts are seen as oil tanker approvals in Venezuela. This is a major, major move around the country of Venezuela.
Brett, I can’t believe it. Why are you seeing members of Congress on both sides of the aisle coming forward and saying we need to understand more
What the position is and what the night is. One of the reasons why there are checks and balances in this country and why the legislative branch is so involved in the decision to potentially invade
That it is likely to go to war with a foreign country. Again, I think President Trump, I know he's addressing the country tonight, addressing the nation.
I think it's very important that he be transparent with his views. This. And, you know, I think a lot of people are asking questions. Are we really going to get involved with Venezuela?
There are more questions than we have here. Brett: Yeah, ARI, you know, the president is saying in his prime time address tonight, which you'll see here on Fox,
He's going to get into this, in a way, that we don't hear a lot from this president, we hear a lot from him on a lot of things. But tonight he's saying that this is a block -- I mean, this is a viable move. Yeah.
I think for most Americans, not everything about Venezuela has been explained. I don't think the American people understand or know, maybe never before, what's wrong with Maduro and what's wrong with him.
What else do we have with Venezuela? President Trump hasn't given the Americans a thoughtful explanation. So it's very difficult, very difficult. Beautiful against drugs.
I support it. The action against the tanker guys, most of the cases were under prior warrants. And that tanker was unauthorized; the tanker was never convicted. International law has good reasons.
But not to explain them. If he wants the support of the American people for his foreign adventures, he needs to explain it. Brett: Yeah, Meredith, I mean,
Right now, he's predicting that tomorrow's "prime time" speech will be a hit by then, but I'm assuming some of that? Yeah, I think people are looking for answers on many fronts.
You know, we're getting to that time of year, it's about a year into Trump's first year in the White House.
For the midterms. They want to talk about the economy. And what they're trying to do is comment on the Raabreiner tomorrow. President Trump just announced that he has ordered a complete blockade of all approved oil tankers going in and out of Venezuela.
He also
demanded that Venezuela return all the oil, land, and other assets that were previously stolen from us. Kevin
Hassetts, the director of the White House National Economic Council, was asked about the potential blockade a few days ago on Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan. Do you think that, given the price tag, you have the authority to take more or to blockade oil from Venezuela
And not hurt them? Yes. Well, I’m not a foreign policy guy, so what we do with Venezuela and whether we do a blockade is up to the president and Marco Rubio.
But I can say that you have the authority, right? What's happening is that there's a black market for oil in countries with such sanctions.
And what we're doing is we're closing down that black market. Um, does that affect prices outside of the sanctioned countries? That's an open question. Probably not.
You don't think that's going to happen? No. Because they're already on the ropes there, these countries. They're only getting oil when they get in, like a black fleet to give them oil. That's what we're trying to slow down.
Breaking the wires right now, President Trump is ordering a complete and total blockade of all contraband oil tankers going in and out of Venezuela, saying that the armada around Venezuela will grow.
Blockade of all oil tankers in Venezuela. As we see some of these drug boats. This is a major, major step. So, I thought this was an issue
That we could cover well, because I've spent the last two weeks at the Pentagon doing press work on what's going on here. And it's a fact
that tonight President Trump has imposed all sanctions against any oil leaving the country of Venezuela. So, that's right. Things are getting real here.
Although, if you’re paying attention, all of this shouldn’t be surprising, given the maximum pressure campaign that we’ve already seen, whether it’s drone strikes against Venezuelan drug traffickers,
they recently seized an individual oil tanker, and it was widely ported by the Trump administration.
The ultimatum that he step down and give up the presidency there.
But I want to break down the Venezuela issue here today because I think it’s something that a lot of people really don’t quite understand what’s going on.
Obviously, there’s a bunch of bad-faith people on your left who will stand there and say we’re killing innocent fishermen or throwing this kind of garbage.
But honestly, I'm sure the first question many people in America are asking is, "Well, thought we weren't going to have any new wars? Is this going to be another Iraq war?
Is this Bush-style neon serfdom?" And while we can't say for sure what's going to happen, I'm going to tell you why. From what I've gathered so far,
it doesn't seem like it. And by the way, the motivations for all of this are very America first. But that needs some explanation. So let's break it down for you in today's video.
We're going to talk all about this Venezuela issue and the new announcement. Do us a favor first though. If you enjoy our content, make sure
that you hit the like button below and subscribe to the channel if you're new. We really appreciate the support. And he said, I guess let's start here by just reading Trump's statement on this issue for you
and then we'll tell you what he really means. So, here we go. Venezuela is currently completely surrounded by the largest armada ever assembled in the history of South America.
It's only going to get bigger, and it's going to be a shock to them like they've never seen before. Until they go back to the United States
All that oil, land and other assets that were taken from us. So if you look back at the context here, basically you could argue
that a big reason why certain aspects of the American community, business interests in this country have been historically opposed to the socialist Venezuelan government is that when Hugo Chavez took over several
decades ago, Venezuela was a country that you knew had a grievance, even though you had a grievance that Hugo Chavez had taken over at the same time.
It was heavily influenced and controlled by American oil companies. And so it basically drove them out. It nationalized the oil industry. We had a lot of its equipment
and it basically just took it without compensating our government or asking our permission. We'll talk about that later in the video.
But just for context there, it's basically giving an ultimatum here. Oh we're going to blockade your oil until you give us back what was stolen.
And uh interestingly, some of you might point out, well, this doesn't have anything to do with the drug problem directly. But here's the thing.
Drugs, immigration, and the oil/socialist stuff, they're all connected for a reason. We'll explain later. But anyway, let's keep reading the statement here for you..
